National Petroleum Resin Industry Exchange Conference Held in Maoming

Recently, the 6th National Petroleum Resin Industry Exchange Conference hosted by Maoming Huayue Group was held in Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Nineteen petroleum resin manufacturers, user representatives, experts and scholars from scientific research institutions, and more than 50 responsible persons from the Maoming Petrochemical Industrial Park and Maomao Petrochemical Company attended the meeting.

At the meeting, corporate representatives and experts and scholars exchanged and discussed the development direction of China's petroleum resin industry, application of new technologies, production process, marketing, and factors that restrict the development of the petroleum resin industry. At the same time, after discussions in the General Assembly and approved by the China Petroleum & Chemical Association and related parties, Maoming Huayue Group Co., Ltd., Daqing Huake Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Huifeng Petrochemical Co., Ltd., and Shandong Qilong Chemical Co. Formally established the China Petroleum Resins Industry Association, and is operating in Maoming Huayue Group.
Petroleum Resin (Hydrocarbon resin) is a kind of thermal plasticizing hydrocarbon resin produced by C5, C9 fraction.It is not a high polymer but a low polymer with the molecular weight between 300-3000. Featured by acid value, easy mutual solubilities, resistant to water, resistant to ethanol and chemicals.
Generally, the petroleum resins are not used independently, but have to be used together with other kinds of resins as promoters, adjusting agents and modifiers in hot-melt adhesive, pressure-sensitive adhesive, hot melt road marking paint, rubber tires and so on.
